I took one deer myself...first year and first bowhunt, now that would be considered success itself.Got to hunt with two great people from here,The Rev and Burniegoeasily,it was a success that we didn't strangle one another but had great weekend hanging out and just talking and we did hunt cause I took a hog(not with bow).Got to see The Rev staring across a meadow in Oklahoma and just go blank enjoying the view of what he got to hunt and wonder over with nobody messing with him!Only thing that woulda pushed this year over the top would have been getting a hunt in with my son, maybe get some kind of off season action in with him to complete my trifecta in early 09!

I've had a tough year. I didn't have the time to scout, and prepare...and it showed.

No Turkey, NoBear, and a solo button buck in MN. I hope to put a doe on the ground before the new year. I did take a decent buck in MT.

2009 will be my year to shine, I hope

Tag soup so far this year with this weekend being the close of my season. I hope to hunt the last 3 days. If I don't kill anything I still think my season was a success. I learned a lot about the new ground I'm hunting, I got to meet and hunt with txmarshmonkey,( I like to try to meet and hunt with at least one HNI member each year.),and above all I had fun!

Great year for me. Got 1 nice 7 point, a big 8 point and a good 10 point with my bow. And 4 does. This sport is soooo addicting!
