True. But, Allot of people miss judge doe's for some reason. I think allot of people think there shooting 130lb doe's every year (dressed weight) when there not. How many of these actually get weighed? It takes a big doe to hit 120lbs. That's a big reason why I posted this thread, I figured the majority would be high.
It was a fun thread, thanks for all the guesses!

Cool. It helps that i cut alot of deer during the season. I weigh alot of them. So I can give a rough guess as to how much meat my customer is gonna get.
I feel bad too. I lied. The biggest doe (that I weighed) was only 128lbs. I did shoot 2 that I thought were bigger but didn't put them on a scale. One was my first deer..... I skinned it and cut the lower legs off to drop off at the butcher(the only one I've ever paid for) and she was 113lbs.
I guess what I'm trying to say is i had good reference points to look back on.
I would love to see a doe that would go 150lbs dressed........ on a scale

RE: Guess the dressed weight on my bro's doe
I have hunted a farm near New Paltz NY for a number of years. Does have generally run 120-140 lbs. This year I noted a doe that was alone. No fawns. Did not seem to be part of any doe group. Always seemed to be in a hurry. Like she was late for an appointment. Never saw her grazing in a field. Got a chance at her one morning:
She succumbed to a 100gr G5 Striker on an Easton Axis FOB'ed from a Mathews LX 66 pounds. Had to drag her about 50 yards to reach a clearing where I could hook her up to the quad. Decided I am getting old. Had a hard time pulling her out. So put her up on the scale:
Kind of shocked by the results myself:
I read it at just shy of 180 pounds. This is live weight -- not gutted. The scale was zeroed before pulling her up. This area has very good food sources including corn and apples. I assume her lack of fawns allowed her to pack on the weight. She had a good layer of fat, but not much more than other deer. She was just a "big momma."
