She succumbed to a 100gr G5 Striker on an Easton Axis FOB'ed from a Mathews LX 66 pounds. Had to drag her about 50 yards to reach a clearing where I could hook her up to the quad. Decided I am getting old. Had a hard time pulling her out. So put her up on the scale:
Kind of shocked by the results myself:
I read it at just shy of 180 pounds. This is live weight -- not gutted. The scale was zeroed before pulling her up. This area has very good food sources including corn and apples. I assume her lack of fawns allowed her to pack on the weight. She had a good layer of fat, but not much more than other deer. She was just a "big momma."
Just seeing her hang In the tree you can tell she's a big doe!! That's pretty Impressive!!
