I did the same thing on the 26th. Thought I was shooting a decent sized doe, turned out to be a button buck, and a failrly large bodied one at that. Still tastes the same, thats all that matters.

It happens to the best of us...congrats on the BB buck. My dad shot one lastevening on accident andhealso hethought it was a doe. irecovered it for him thismorning, he was quite surprized when i calledhim on the phone out in the woods and told himit was a button buck. sometimes its tough to tell the difference.
