We have one down here in Lincoln County NC I see driving around while working that looks loaded as if it hasnt dropped a single one (tho it has). Fruit is a little dried but Im telling you it is slam full of them. I wish I had it on my hunting land.

The persimmon trees in southeastern Illinois were still loaded with them over Thanksgiving. I usually end up picking some that are still on the trees and eating them while rabbit hunting well into December.

AF hit it on the head. I have a large persimmon grove on my propert.(about 20 trees)
The later the season get the better. the deer will be digging through the leaves trying to get to the ones that has been getting sweeter and riper as it gets colder. Most will not even fall until a good hard frost.

funny thing ....... the persimmon trees in Arkansas bore great fruit this year .... but even after the frosts and below freezing temps they never dropped off for some reason or at least not all of them

that tree still had fruit dropping .... anomaly IMO I've not really seen it before

same here. we had great fruit but it did stay on awhile. i know ours take a hard and i mean hard frost for them to fall. they will ripen on the tree but what you want to watchfor is them to start falling for deer traffic.
