I blame it on the fact that I didnt have the internet the first four years of my hunting career..!!
I would have loved to have had the internet when I started 27 years ago, that would have taken a giant learning curve out of the equation. Oh the stories I could tell and oh the opportunities I wish I had back again.

Thanks for all of the kind words and encouragement.

I said a long time ago....that I think this place (and a healthy appetite for reading and hunting media) DOES help to straighten out the learning curve. It's really undeniable.

Thanks again.

I will agree 100% with this statement Jeff. Honest question. Where would your numbers likely be without your association to this forum and it's members?

This is my 3rd season bowhunting. 4 deer recovered and working on getting more before season closes. I know without a lot of the help I have received here, my numbers would likely be lower as well.

I'd probably be like every other person who hunts around here.......a 100% "baiter" and a mildly successful (even less than present) bowhunter. Nobody I know here has the drive I see instilled in MOST guys in this forum....not just "some" of you.

I've said it before and I mean it.....NOT baiting has made my success skyrocket. Knowing there was another way to skin the cat (that I found here) has helped, tremendously. Also...I don't think I'd have the drive I have now if it weren't for this place.

But....I have to slow down. I'm gonna take a good, long break after next Saturday. I'll see you guys in Turkey season. I'm tired.

He has before, but too many people bawled. Love him or hate him, nobody is happy either way. If ya are Jeff, enjoy it. If ya ain't and you are talking about a hunting break, I know the feeling. I just got done with my new record high of hours spent on stand. I will make a few sits in second archery, but I am gonna hit the cruise control too. Have fun and happy holidays.
