Cool hunt Jeff, I spent many years hunting from the ground so I know exactly where your comming from.

I don't want to mislead anyone....

I did NOT spot and stalk these does.....I just hunted them from the first time ever from the ground.

Brknarrow is coming here in the morning....and I'll try it again in another spot. I had to run down my face paint....lol. It's been a while.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully we'll have a success photo (I hopeFrank nails him another deer, here), tomorrow.

Tough drawing and hunting on the ground with no blind and tough hunting on the ground with a blind and not having the deer bust the blind.

Sounds like fun, Jeff ..... I would love to shoot one with a recurve on the ground!! You really should tell the rest of the story ....

Aw shawks, you had me going there Tony!!! I was thinking Jeff might of got his 1st longbow kill and was holding off on telling everyone!

Jeff, I too learned that doing it off the ground with trad gear is a whole new ball game. Nothing against the treestands and compounds, which I dearly love, but the hunt I had this morning was the purest form of hunting that ive ever had. You HAVE to do EVERYTHING right in order to be successful, or else your just wasting time, learned that too, on wed[&:].

Get it done though and it will be the coolest thing youve ever expirenced!

Too cold for the longbow this morning(22). I'm putting on the Michelin man suit (haven't practiced the longbow with that much gear on) and climbing a tree.
