The only thing I did different that upped my odds this year was to wear my Ultimate Camo. I noticed an improvement in not getting busted in my stand. Zero times!

I went mobile, hardly hunted the same spot twice. Payed better attention to hunting the wind and also my approach to hunting different phases of the rut.

I bought my own property to hunt on, so I don't have to share it with the idiots.

I scouted my ass of all year long.

Iplanted food plots.

I think I learned the most by being in the woods during hunting season and observing the deer movement.

I hunted in areas with thicker cover that I had scouted in the off-season. Although I did not take a big buck, I did have two mature bucks within range and my overall buck sightings are up from 3 from last year to 14 this year.

I finally learned to turn my head REALSLOWLYto check outEVERY sound I hear, even if I think it's just another squirrel! I learned this the hard way last year. Also, afterall theseyears I finally got fed up with the noise my license holder made rubbing the tree when my back was against it. I now have it attached to my day pack. It's still visable.
