About the first time someone see a buck of any age behind a doe of any age in something other than a peaceful walk.

lmao, that was one of my posts in the myth thread....

As soon as someone sees a buck dog a doe in Sept we'll see a thread entitled... THE RUT IS ON!...lmao not knowing that the bucks will do that anytime and they are always ready...the bucks don't regulate the rut, the rut is all about the pretty little does.

You won't hear that from me!

Due to warm weather and too many does, our rut doesn't usually start until late December.[&:]

That is one reason why this year they changed our archery season. It's still starts Oct. 1,
but in my zone you can't kill a doe until Oct. 15th. Apparently there are some very late bred
does and there were some concerns about fawn survival.
