Im confused ,as far as I know NJ's shotgun season is 6 days long in early dec.and some short "permit" muzzleloader seasons toward the end of december and Jan., at least thats how zone 3 was last time I checked.Also, most zones have antler restrictions too ,so the spike shooting comments dont make sense either. Did somthing change this year


As far as it being "unsafe" to gun hunt in NJ, that is just silly. Most of the state is actually mountains ,swamps, and vast farmland w/ plenty of room for shotgun and ML hunting.

I must say, I know this forum tends to get a little anti gun, but some of the comments on this thread in particular, are a bit narrowminded to say the least. Then again, even though I love to bowhunt ,Im probably not a real bowhunter, since I also love to gun hunt, so mabye I just dont get it.

Could you do a break down of when these are? that is insane...this is 9 weeks of hunting. Are you counting seasons that overlap, or is it 9 weeks of different days to hit the woods with a gun in hand deer hunting?

2 weeksfor shotgun, then a 5 day muzzleloader season after that... Then late archery comes back in
