    A 2nd rut? ppppfffff Hell, we didn'teven havea first rut!At least in my area of SE Pa.[&o]I still have my Pa buck tag, and it ain't over till the fat lady sings.
    The rut that happened here in Illinois was very slight in my area. It has always seemed to me that in December, there will be a few young does that will be ready to breed.If you find one of these does at this time youcan be sure that she is probably going to bring a buck by you.

    I saw rut activity last weekend, had a 2.5 year old 8 chasing a fawn by me. I think this coming weekend could be reallygood considering the strange rut in most areasthis year.

    I agree, add in that its muzzleloader season, that should have more deer on their feet. I'm hoping for a good weekend with the bow.
