Anthony, that'll be the case come February, when I can drive. Trust me. I get sick of sitting around doing stuff, when I want to be out in the woods hanging a stand, clearing shooting lanes, etc.
The more time you spend in the woods, the more confidence you'll have come hunting season.

I saw 10x the amount of bucks this year, compared to last year. I attribute that to all of the time I spent on my properties. Albeit, a true shooter never came any closer than 64.5yards...I did see plenty of nicely racked younger bucks that I let walk.

Next year, I will reap the rewards of my labors this past year.

Ror, I keep telling ya, I wanna get out to MO...If you want some help this spring, I'll come out and give you a hand hanging some stands and so on..I need a few day break form Joisey !!
We'll see Anthony, we'll see

I never hunteda lick till i was 21 (im almost 26 now)when my dad talked me into going out chasin bambi around the woods (lead slingers). Prior to that every waking minute was motocross, arenacross day in and day out. Needless to say the last new bike i bought was in 04'which was also the same year i bought my first bow. The bow has seen many a days in the woods. The bike on the other hand has roughly 50 hours on it in 5 years. I used to put that on a bike in a month ! Seems like every year i dont think i could possibly be anymore obsessed. Then i prove myself wrong

Oh yeah ive gained about 50 pounds too, this isnt quite the workout i used to have.

Might sound funny but hunting is not taking more than 6 months of my time if you don't count the internet hunting sites. I actually try to spend as little time in my hunting woods as possible until hunting season comes around. Why? Simply because I try to keep human contact with the deer as minimal as possible.

now that i started bowhunting, my fall turkey and small game hunting has suffered...as well as any fishing in the fall for the most part...bowhunting just takes priority i guess...an unfilled buck tag eats at me worse than an unfilled fall turkey tag or an unfilled small game vest....

other than hunting and fishing, honestly, i dont have much other hobbies so to speak...heck, i dont have much of a LIFE outside hunting and fishing

actually need MORE time...its hard enough to juggle bowhunting and running coonhounds at nite..let alone small game, fall turkey, i wish i had time to run a trap line, coonhunting takes time away from predator hunting so i only get to predator hunt nites that its tooooo cold to coon hunt(better time to predator hunt anyways) the list goes on...

i find myself juggling different hunting than anything else...plus, oh ya...life. lol. mainly school...but i graduate in the spring then LIFE starts i guess...we'll see how much time i have THEN!

I used to love fly fishing.....still do. It's just that once I picked up a bow and started hunting 8 years ago, flyfishing took a back seat. Still do it, but bowhunting has become my number one passion by far.

Well, I don't really remember what I used to do this time of year. But whatever it was, I don't do it anymore. I just hunt.
