Too many factors that weigh in on the don't go and just live vicariously through this site side of the scale. Are you there or getting there too?
Outside of an emergency with my family there is nothing on planet earth that will keep me out of the woods untill my season is over. Blowing, blustery and single digits here too. I froze my rump off this morning and saw no deer. I plan on freezing my rump off this afternoon and by the sounds of it all of late archery season. I love it. I live vicariously through this site between hunts. I live vicariously through the woods during hunting season. I'll sit inside where it's warm and comfy and look outside at ole man winter when my season is over.

ORIGINAL: peakrut

It 1 degree out when I headed to my stand opening morning of gun season.
Get your but out and the only reason I am typing is because I am out of
vacation time and stuck at work.
Yep Peak, I hear that, sure was cold out that morning when I climbed out of my TENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to get out so bad this morning, work sucks! The way the wind died down, I sure it was a good morning to be on stand!

this answer is simple for me. i'm goin out regardless. but i have a feeling mine is more of a pressure thingsince i haven't put one on the ground. I can say i have slowed down but that mainly because of the hellish hours at work.

side note. even though i haven't killed one. i am still pretty happy with myself.

I hear you! I have no deer this year, It's been the most frustrating year I ever had. The topper was last week on the first day of PA Gun season. I missed a monster 10pt buck in the Big Woods of Pike County. A real swamp monster. The problem I have is I'm short on vacation time. I still have some time to hunt in Late PA Archery season to get a buck. It's Been a TUFF year and I will keep on keeping on. When you have some nice deer in the freezer there is no sin sleeping in a few days!! You earned it!!!
