I MD (I am assuming this was in MD)you need to kill two does before you can shoot a second buck. I am sure there is something here I don't know but how did this guy get 2 bucks in on night if hadn't shot any does?

So one night his luck turns, and arrows a 4 pt. But he doesn't stop there, he shoots a 5pt.

The rest of thestory I didn't mention is, he got on the radio, and said this 5 pt is wounded. I got on there and told him, I shoot wounded deer if they have trouble walking, thats just me. That didn't mean I was going to burn my tag and take him home with me. Many more wounded deer came over.

Freakin guess? Another thing that ruined my day. In his defense, the second deer he shotwas wounded from the adj. farm. And he did have the decency not to shoot a largesymetric 6 that came under his stand and hour later. I will give him that. Bruce, this was sat. I can't say I ever seen so many wounded deer in the woods in my life. It was a sad state of affairs on the Eastern Shore.

BigCountry,
I don't know about your buddy who doesn't know how to properly field dress a deer and who according to Bruce also violates game laws, but you are way off in painting such a broad stroke on this one.
Just like others, I have a farmer friend who has a lot of depradation tags and has ALLOWED me the PRIVILEGE to kill a lot of deer if I choose. My goal is 10. So far only 4. 30 days of season left. Doubt I make 10, but I bet I get another 2-3 anyway. I have given all 4 to appreciative families with more in line. While these are large families with limited income, I don't know that I'd call them needy or poor. I know they don't consider themselves needy.
I have no NEED to kill 10 deer this year, but I WANT to. All the meat is going to good use, but you are right it isn't about that. Giving the meat away is secondary. Satisfying my ego and the overall enjoyment of bowhunting is my priority. I have no SHAME in that.
So whats your point?

You said it yourself and summed it up so well that now furthers my believe its disrespectful when you said "satisfying your ego". To me thats pitiful. But hey, how I feel shouldn't impact your point of view should it? You have to follow your own lead in life.

God put deer on this planet for us to eat. I respect them in the fact that they are God's creation, but I am not psyco about it. In the end, they are a rack on the wall and meat on the table.

Then there are those who have very little ego. It is usually accompanied with a low self esteem, they feel like victims, and resent others who accomplish things. They are afraid to set goals for fear of failure.
And no Paris Jr., you did not step on my toes nor do I feel a need to seek your approval. We are just exchanging ideas in a friendly discussion. I respect your right toan opinion, I just don't understand it.
