Is this breaking the law?

Your state requires any hunter who is in the field during firearms season to wear orange.

Is it breaking the law to hunt without orange.

The reason I ask is because it is firearms season in Oklahoma, and by law ALL hunters must wear orange while in the field. Just wondering if I would be breaking the law if I did not wear it. I want to be sure to obey all game laws set fourth by the state.

No, just getting sick of his pompous attitude.

RE: Is this breaking the law?

During Oklahoma firearms season, all gun hunters must wear 2 articles of orange clothing.

If you bowhunt during the gun season, you only have to wear 1 piece of orange.

And yes, it is breaking the law to not wear your orange.

Well before GMMAT gets here and makes this a 50 pager, you have to qualify your question. Does "said" hunter have a weapon with him.[8D]

RE: Is this breaking the law?

LOL...you are SO funny!

Go check my regs (just for poops and giggles) and show me where it says how much I need to wear......how it must be displayed......etc....

You've already called me a poacher. You might as well call me a liar too and get it over with.:D

I sometimes wear an orange tooth....like 50 cent's gold one...but orange.

It's the shnizzle.

I'll give you an analogy:

I know that the speed limit is 65. I wonder if I am caught going 66 if I will be breaking the law?

Now I have to really ask myself.. why did I even have to explain that? I'm actually a little beside myself.

Dude, the hero pic is from the next day. He already said he hunted with orange the day before.

I killed my buck during gun season with my bow. I had an orange cap and vest on, but took it off for the pic because it looks goofy....SUE ME. lol

Is this illegal too then? My pics are from 3.5 hours after I released the arrow, same day...GASP, no orange in my photos either.

To hell with the orange question. I wear it in and take it off once I'm in the tree. So find me and arrest me.

Well I should have known Jeff would take the orange off for the picture so it would look better.

My foot is in my mouth. I should have thought quicker.

RE: Is this breaking the law?

Illegal yes but I for one WILL NOT step into the woods, regardless of the law during rifle season without it on and WILL NOT take it off, even on land that is bowhunting only and it isn't required.

I did pose for a picture with only my hat on but the one taking the pic had his vest on.

I have seen orange save a life, and this person was in a stand.

I have also seen rifle hunters tresspass onto public bow only land with a rifle during gun season.

Not a chance I am willing to take.;)

As bad as I hate to, I follow the regs and wear orange even on my own land which is isolated to an extent. I don't wear it for pics either T. It just doesn't go with the bow..lol.

im hunting private land, but still agree...I wear it for rifle season...if Im in a blind, Ill hang a hat out the window. I dont feel the need to get shot chasing deer, I have too much to live for.

Jeff, fact is you basically admitted to not wearing orange and told me to call your buddy the GW to see what he had to say.

I am done with you. No sense in arguing with someone who does no wrong.

BTW, good luck finding that anti-fog.

RE: Is this breaking the law?

Well, the hunter orange thing doesn't mean anything anyway. Here in NY you don't have to wear it. The DNR tried to get it passed as a law, but the Governor at the time(the one who had the hookers) said they'll be more careful if they don't see orange.[&:] Now that's the people we have making laws... him and your new Sec. of State Annointed, Hillary Clinton. Be afraid.... Be VERY Afaid. Get this, we don't have to wear orange, but you must wear a back tag.... but only in the Souther Tier. Duhhhhhhhh... well planned program we got going on.
