No luck for turkey with my bow!

RE: No luck for turkey with my bow!
If they are not picking you off while you are drawing then I am guessing you are " catching some feathers" and not connecting on that " skinny middle" . Up until this season I never had a blind to shoot out of so I never was able to really get past getting picked off when I drew the bow.....so, I know how you feel to some extent. I hope that changes with the upcoming season.

Turkeys have always eluded me. The first shot i had was at 25 yards after holding the bow for about 2 minutes, and the arrow missed. That same spring i had 4 jakes come in at about 3 yards and i never could get my bow back. That fall, i stalked up on what i thought was about 6 turkeys, that 6 turned into about 40 all withen bow range. Excuse time. Fence in the way, tree of to the right(me sitting there with my draw dropped kinda going duuhhhhhh). I did take a shot at one in the air after they all took off flyin. lol. Im hopin to try this spring. The season opens on sunday here in Oklahoma and i have a couple birds picked out. Hopefully this year the jinx will be gone. Good luck with your season.

If you are in a tree than all I can say is good luck, I have tried and tried. It wasn' t untell I bought a Double Bull pop up blind when I started killing birds with my bow. Infact, all the birds I shot with my bow sense than have been bow kills withi' n 12 yards.
also keep in mind of your shot placement.
