Cool news. Acquiring land is the one thing I am terrible at....I hate begging people and making them feel uncomfortable.(not saying you do, that is just me). That being said, I am trying to get a group of guys together to lease some private land to go along with the public land I hunt for next year.

LOL, Chris...
My new landowner has a doctorate in Theology from Duke Univ.. I wear my Duke sweatshirt over.....to wish he and his wife a happy Thanksgiving. We talked for over an hour.
He told me his second cousin owns the land....but he controls it (cousin lives in Boca Raton, FL). He told me to hunt it if I wanted to.

Jeff, thats awesome. I'll be looking for more land to hunt next yearright after the season is over in Jan. I'm in the same boat you were in 3 years ago as far as huntable land goes. Its my own property but its just not enough.
good luck with your new land

Aaron and I were talking about this over the past few days, and this is a big goal of mine for this spring. I need more land, land I can hunt when I want to, not when my buddies do.
That means more land you can bring friends on too! lol.
Congratulations though, you're really racking it up now. The plot just thickened for you too

Cool deal man, that is great. I did the same thing today, I gained access to a 20 acre woodlot on the edge of, oh I dont know exactly, about 130 acres of soybeans
. Good luck to ya, hope you get that buck you just saw.

Good for you Jeff. Take it from me, you can never have to much because it can come and go so easily. I lost 320 acres of good ground right in the middle of the season. Thankfully I just gained some river bottom ground this afternoon and saw the two biggest bucks of the season.
