Default I must confess

While many of your seasons are coming to an end or maybe over I feel like mine is just starting.
Hi, My name is Todd and I'm a cold weather hunting addict.
I would gladly give up the hot-sweaty-buggy early season.
I would even give up the rut.
Give me snow and cold and a weapon in my hand.

Anyone else feel the same?

Hell I have trouble when it is in the teens. That said, I hunt whenever and wherever I can....Ill take 0 degree weather just as soon as 90 degree weather....but November will never be given up! lol

I'm not a fan of temps around the 0 degree mark being It can be tough getting my recurve back when bending at the waist with a pile of clothes on. Other then that, give me snow!!! I love hunting In the snow!!

Cool pics Iceman!!!

I personally like it at least cold enough to keep snow on the ground. If I am moving Sub zero temps are fine with me. I don't really care to sit still in sub zero temps. I get a little scared to draw my bow when it gets to -10 or colder. Those limbs get real stiff.

Never had a problem withmy bowlimbs at 20 below. What kind of sissy warm weatherbow do you shot?? [8D] While I would rather it be above zero... I won't puss outuntil 25 below depending on wind. This open country can be brutal when the wind gets going. [:'(]

let's see...

2 full face masks with a stocking cap under the 1stface mask

2 pairs of wool socks

very good pac boots ( 1200 gram or better)

pair of boot/leg wraps ( can't think of what they are called off hand. Keeps the snow out of your boots and your pants dry if walking through deep snow. goes up to your knees)

very good pair of insulatedgloves

2nd pair of gloves kept handyif the first pair gets wet

3 loose fitting shirts...pants... insulated bibs... insulated jacket... loose fitting thin set ofsnow camo outfit.

It is surprising how warm you can stay. Just don't sweat on the way to your spot when walking in to sitor if you are stalking deer.

This year I am going to cheat and have picked up hand warmers.
