ORIGINAL: gutshot

Doug first don't take the post the wrong way but how in the world could you have made a perfect heart and lung shot and end up in the back of the noggin?
Gut,
That how much she moved between my release and that arrow getting there!!!! I'm not taking it the wrong way, I said the same thing to myself, except it was probably more "WTH just happened???" [:-] Again, the take home point here is that deer can do a LOT of moving between the time we release an arrow, and the time the arrow gets to them, ESPECIALLY an ALERT DEER!!! She dropped and turned and THWACK, there you have it. Rain is coming down sideways right now, so I'm not hunting this evening afterall, I'll get the camera and post up some pics in a couple.

Well, here are the pic's...and I apologize ahead of time, their poor quality, as my good camera is with my girls at Grandma's right now.

No way that deer is 120 lbs. More like 70. Lucky shot there though.

My only complaint is that you shot it in scrubs and the picture is in camo!! You should have taken the picture in your scrubs!!

Meat in the freezer and you taught yourself a lesson. Eat good and move on!!
