I have food sources, bedding areas AND "deer". What I don't have is a magnitude of "shooters". Finding bucks hasn't been my problem. I've seen almost 50 from stand, this year. Of those....ONE will break 100". The next best buck won't go 80".

I can't kill what isn't there. If it was there.....I'm thinking I would have at least spotted "it". I've spread these sits across several properties (300acres or so).....and I've played the wind to my advantage on almost every one of them (all of them, since Oct 1....and every time on the new land).

I have complete confidence that I'm doing the right things. Have I messed up a few times? Yep. Has it cost me "the" deer? Nope. Has it cost me "a" buck? Probably.

I have mast crops. I have ag fields. I have bedding areas. I have water. I have cover. I have it all....and I'm hutning it the best way I know. If they beat me.....they just do. I will go down swinging, though.

I still 100% disagree with this statement.

Seeing every buck on your land.... I was not talking about any deer specifically.

The odds of you seeing every buck on your properties during a hunting season are astronimical..... I would say the probability of it is 100%nil.

Jeff, I'm learning new hunting grounds right along with you this year. I started keeping a journal but forgot to enter too many hunts to go back and complete it.Lets just say I have logged a ton of hours on stand this year also. I have learned a lot so far about hunting my new grounds. But I also have a lot of questions I need to answer. I hope the late season answers a few of them for me.

As for buckeye's statement about the bucks. I just saw a buck today that was new to me, I don't have a trail cam pic of himnor have Iseen himbefore. This time of year especially they can show up at any time. Or he could have been there the whole time and I missed him.

I also have a Half rack buck that was very visible while Matt and Greg were here. We would see him 4 and 5 times a day. I had not seen him before that weekend and have seen him twice since. It's not that he could be a buck I had seen with a full rack earlier and broke it off. I had him right under me and he never grew the other side. No pedicle. We see him all of the time but he never walks in front of my cameras.

This was my exact quote. No need to make fun of it, Scott....just because you didn't understand it. I made particular emphasis (in quotations) to "it" so it wouldn't be misconstrued to mean a specific deer. I see deer all the time I've never seen before.

I mean the presence of a number (subjective)of shooter sized bucks (again, subjective). I've spotted ONE.....on three occasions (the same one). I could as easily said "them".....but didn't.

I don't feel that I made fun of anything? I said I didn't agree.... Then asked you to elaborate....
