Did we lose the search function?

go to the lower right bottom of the page and type in something stupid.
When it returns no results.....just click OK and do your search just like you used to.

I tried it as well. First just typing something typical in the search box at the bottom left hand corner of the screenand then, when it didn't produce any results, in the subsequent page that allows you to do a more advanced search. In the case of the latter I received the following results for "deer".....

...though it took a good minute to function.
