RE: what bow would you buy
Well i am not on a budget but i want something good. i figure if i can get a stripped bow fro under 800 or so i can swing that
ORIGINAL: Siman08/OH
If your on a budget, i would go with one of the new lower end Hoyts. They look like some pretty sweet boys for the price!

Bowtech/Diamond, PSE, and Matthews are front runners no doubt. Top of the line products. Hoyt is stuck in years past and way off in my opinion. Shot a couple last week that were big bulky and shook my hand off my arm. Hoyt would be my last choice. Bear is a good bow on the lower end of the price scale and can hang with the best of them.

Matthews probably makes nice bows..But seem to be overpriced and compared to other bows dont show much of anything to make me wanna spend 850 for a bow thats not any better then a bow that cost 650..
I mean lets see
Diamond Marquis- $649.88 cabelas price
Bowtech 82nd- $750 most dealers.
Bear Truth II - $370 Cabelas.
Bowtech general/guardian - $750 most dealer
Mathews DRENALIN - $850 most matthews dealers.
$100 more then other bows. And matthews is a nice bow but $850 for just the bow. Ive shot a lot of bows matthews hoyt PSE bowtech diamons bear parker and Im sure the the bowtech dimaond is better then MATTHEWS.

Don't over look the new Ross bows either, they also are made by BowTech. I was on about the same budget as you, and I went out looking to shoot every single cam bow I could get my hands on and I ended up with the Cardiac 34. Very sweet bow, dead in hand, great feel and balance, smooth draw and a rock solid wall at the end of your cycle, and I saved a few hundred dollars to top it off. Slightly slower than some other single cams on the market but without watching your arrow go through a chrono you would never know that.
