You ain't shooting them from the couch, so get back out there. Remember, bucks pay about as much attention to yearlings as a fat kid does a salad. Not to mention bucks get dumber this time of year so if your spot is good and the wind is right you need to be in it so you can catch one of those bucks looking for love.

bucks pay about as much attention to yearlings as a fat kid does a salad.
A buck don't care who's "hot". A fawn would do.

Visual confirmation of a good buck is the best kind of intel.

Thanks for the support guys. Hunted it again, tonight. Had 9 come in (possibly more as I was losing track in the fog). The spike was the only returning buck (although I think one other one came in right at dark and was fighting a bit with the spike...I could barely make out them pushing each other around), and most of the big does came in right at dark with no bucks in tow. Back at it again tomorrow. Thank god for these southern winds.
