Id go with the Easton Axis FMJ 400 if that is what you are lookin for Jeff, tough as nails and one of the all around best hunting arrows out there.

Easton Full Metal Jacket or go with XX78 aluminum.

Oneshot....

it needs to be a 5/16" arrow (to acept the inserts I wanna use) and have a spine that will handle a 550gr arrow....with a 200gr. head/insert.

Arrow will be shot about 250fps.....if that helps determine spine.

Sorry...I should have added that.

Still the one you mentioned?

Have you guys seen the price tag on those FMJ's?

Do you get flowers after they nail ya with that price?

OK....edit...

I think Cabela's has them for $114.99/doz. Does this sound right for shafts, only? I'd fletch them, here....and I have vanes.

Does anyone know if they accept inserts?

IDK the exact specs on it Jeff, considering that you want 200 grs, ( I assume an insert as you were talking about earlier) I really dont know. I have tried to find some exact specs but no success. If it can fit you specs that by all means that would be what I use. I have some right now and if it wasnt for me wanting some more speed that is what I would be using.;)

Is there a difference between the axis fmj and a "regular fmj?

I don't want to order the wrong thing....if I get them. I'm also a bit worried about them accepting the inserts I want. The inserts say they fit "axis"....and don't mention fmj.

Who would know? I suppose I could call LAS.
