Nobody wanted to fight me!!!
It was drizzly and cold today so I decided I wasn't gonna sit in one spot all day. Instead, I crept around with the wind in my face and stopped every 300yds or so to bleat, grunt, rattle. Last week I was able to call 2 bucks into 50yds with the same sequence from a treestand. It was also sunny and coolthat day though. I wonder if that's what was responsible in large partfor the different response or lack thereof thatI got today? I should also add that when I got back to the truck, there were 6 vehicles total whereas there was only one(mine) when I got there.
I'm pretty sure the chase phase has not begun so this should be the time when bucks are most likely to respond to rattling. I think most likely there was just too much pressure and scent in the woods. Then again, it could have something to do with the weather too. What do you think?
