Default looking back, one year after EHD

Well as some may know EHD gave me the worst season ever last season for seeing bucks. I have a whole pile of slammers that fell victom last season. I did kill one but it was one of only three i seen the whole season. Last season i was seeing BB fawns everywhere i hunted. Mother nature is crule but can also be kind in giving back. All those BB fawns from last year are running around every where this season. Most are not sporting much yet but they are there for the growing. Im tripping on these boys everywhere i go. I have seen around 30-35 different bucks this season compared to3 last season. The big boys are very scarce but some are there, i have seen three p&y class bucks that made it through. The younger croud is safe from most of us on our lease in an attempt to get them back where they were. some of those bucks are some 2.5's that are going to be dandys next season just comparing things to last season and rambling on...ill shut up now [&:]

we have some VERY similar areas as well. EHD hit hard and age structure seems messed up....alot of young bucks but the bigger bucks became more scarce....the main farm I hunt wasnt hit with EHD, that I knew of, and it seems to be just as good if not better than last year. few dandys, alot of youngins...but that is caused by neighboring hunters, not a disease.

Sounds like the future may be promising for you.

Thats glad that you are starting to cover. Hopefully things will be back to normal in a few years. Hopefully all those 1.5s hang on a couple years!

Now go shoot that 160!
