RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
ORIGINAL: brucelanthier ORIGINAL: PreacherTony ORIGINAL: killadoe Shoot a flare through his front window...... No more problems.... And folks wonder why this guy has a dim view of hunters . This BMW guys sounds like a real douche, but he is simply upholding his rights as a landowner. We always have fear that our rights as hunters will be taken away, so we cannot trample on his rights regardless of the kind of person he is. Twil, your situation really sucks man. I'm sorry to hear you lost that buck. What I would do in the future, and have done in the past is build a natural barrier on the edge of the property you have permission on in the off season that will funnel deer away from the border and make it difficult for deer to get to his land. By fall they will have adjusted their patterns and you will have saved yourself the headache of having to deal with this again. Good luck. |
RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
Well sounds like Pa is pretty much like Mo. I forgot about this. If he doesn't keep possesion of the deer he doesn't need a tag or permit. Jim is right in that fact. True it might be the moral or ethical thing to let him get his deer but not alot of people have these anymore.
If he just threw it in a ditch somewhere than permit laws wont do any good. |
RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
That sucks...

RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
![]() Just build one of these next summer. This should keep all those trespassing deer off his property as well. :) |
RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
Im suprised he didnt try and charge your buck with trespassing, stupid deer should learn how to abide by the law. Sorry to hear about this pal, its got my blood boiling!

RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
ORIGINAL: brucelanthier ORIGINAL: twildasin Update is...I seen 9 buck from this stand in 2 sittings this week! i will be on the stand in the a.m. I am not giving up. This was the 1st deer to ever run in his yard! Usually they run down thru the woods and cross over his property and I never have a problem cause I go around his land. I did have a few die down at the creek (on his land) down over the hill away from his house I just grab them and drag them over to my land! I have all the right in the world to be where I am at! As for the deer I have no idea what he did with it? The authorities have my number and they never called so they don't have it or I would of got it! I will call them today and ask them about him moving the deer, but I ask the game warden I said So that deer is gonna go to waste he said yep i assume so, he has to give me permission to get it! It does suck that you lost your deer...but he did nothing illegal in this situation. Quite frankly, i am disspointed in the number of poeple that have said they would trespass or pay your fines for trespassing or suggesting means of payback. Maybe it is time to man up, knock on his door and discuss the situation in a calm manner and see what can be done to help out the situation for future hunts. |
RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
I'm glad Iowa has retreival laws which allow you unarmed access onto private property to retrieve a dispatched animal which has expired there.

ORIGINAL: PreacherTony I would have tried to make peace with the landowner of the land right next to my hunting spot .... ORIGINAL: IL_BOW_MAN Maybe it is time to man up, knock on his door and discuss the situation in a calm manner and see what can be done to help out the situation for future hunts. talk to him nicely and try to work out a compramise as best you can You are projecting your morals, values, and consideration for your fellow manonto this douche. There is no reasoning with savages ok?Savages don't have to possess machine guns and be responsible for roadside bombings to be savages. They can be doctors, lawyers, or the neighbor who drives a BMW. People are people. These types of people couldn't givea flying fudge about you and your feelings on the subject. They've already made a conscious decision to be a prick. In this particular case, the prick already made a conscious decision to deny Tim the deer seemingly for mere spiteknowing how simple, neighborly, and human it would be to just allow him the 2min to remove his deer. This thread is really about how there's no changing the ugliness in some people's hearts. |
RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
So if you decide someone is a "savage" or their motivations are not yours, it is fine to knowing break the law in a continuing manner?[:'(]

RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
Is the deer still laying in his yard???? What did he do with it????
|
RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
One statement you say this
100yards from his garage...25 yards from his yard! My property so I will hunt that corner cause thats where the deer come [blockquote]quote: ORIGINAL: bawanajim Whom owns the land that you were actually hunting on? [/blockquote] Not him I have permission and am the only one with permission to hunt the land that borders his! He knows this and he don't like it!! Nevermind, after reading this thread for the last hour (seems like an hour) I see the answer. What I woulddo for the future is ask a law offical off the record what are my options if this were to happen again. |

ORIGINAL: SteveBNy So if you decide someone is a "savage" or their motivations are not yours, it is fine to knowing break the law in a continuing manner?[:'(] Steve Where in my post did your find me saying that it was ok to forego a law breaking contiinuum? I personally did not find my post all that difficult to understand. I even read it back a couple times to myself to make sure it was worded in a way both fair and easy to comprehend. There is no underlining meaning or a hidden message. All I'm saying is that you can't sit down and have a rational make-nice session with a natural born arsewhole! |
RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
oh man sorry to hear that, what an a-hole that guy is.
|
RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
I apoligize fo rmisreading you - It was the many others that have blantently attempted to justify illegal planned behavior.
The guy probably is an azz - but being one does not mean he has no rights. And its no justification for the recommendations of many to commit assault or use chickensheet anonomous revenge tactics because the guy reacted exactly the way it was known that he would. There was no surprises I can see in this scene. Steve |
RE: Well Guys I'm Crushed!!
Wow - terribly sorry to hear about that - it is truly sad,
