Pattern??

Well I saw a real nice 10 point tonight. He was chasing does around a small pasture up against the river. I saw him 35 minutes before end of shooting light. My question is this: Since the bucks that I am seeing are pretty much chasing now, could I plan on sitting there tomorrow afternoon in hopes of seeing him again? Or will he just be running around wherever he likes? I was thinking that if the doe he was chasing still is getting closer to coming into estrus, then he will likely follow her and she just might come back out to the same spot on her way to feed.... I don't have time to throw up a stand, so I think I'll let my brother sit in the calving barn on the southwest side of the pasture. The wind is supposed to be out of the northwest. Any thoughts on this? The little white thing right above the river is the calving barn that I plan on having him sit.

If he's in actuall "chase" mode, there is no telling where he might be tomorrow. He might stick with her if she's hot or close to it, or he may run across a hot doe while chasing her, and switch. It's a crap shoot at this point in the game. Good Luck

If you know where the does are bedding, get in there early and set up down wind in the morning. If you know where the does are feeding, get in there early afternoon and set up on the trail from bedding to feeding.
Think like a buck, thats what he would do.
