Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Why didnt he take it a step further and say once a fawn, always a fawn. Everything grows up, and everything starts out small, give ita few years and it can be a nice buck. Where do people get this crap?

That is untrue. I've seen 6 month bucks have little spikes, and then the next year as a 1 1/2 old, they have like a 6 or 8 point rack. 1 1/2 olds that have spikes will also grow bigger racks. One of the biggest pen deer started out as a spike. I know they feed those deer all kinds of minerals and stuff, but he still started out as a spike, and they never knew he would grow that big. You never know what a buck will grow into unless you pass the small bucks.
