YA you would be the last person i would want drinking before work.
But i had a drive no drinking and driving here i like my license and cheap insurance. In fact i would not drink one beer then drive within 8 or 12 hours. not worth the risk of hurting myself or someone else.

NO I WONT. The job i have i am not aloud to have alcohol in my system while at work. So i use the same rule of thumb when i was in the
Air Force. There they told us no alcochol within 8 hours of your next shift. I use that a stead fast rule for hunting as well.
if you dont know i'm aPA Trooper.
Best of luck to all of you!!!!

It's all good i was good and drunk when i wrote this not falling over but good enough i did not hunt this morning. Now it is 11 the morning after i feel like a deer that has been shot gutted and hanged to bleed out.

I've sat in a tree-stand hung over from the night before, and drunk from the $2 "Brutus" beer's at Applebee's (now $3 or $4) in the afternoons. Never will I re-live those days....but isn't that what college is for?!
[>:] BTW, I'm mostly drunk right now. Been drinking PBR since this afternoon....but I didn't...and don't plan on going hunting in the near future.

There are some people I hunt with that drink and some that don't, but we have decided as a group that drinking and alcohol just don't mix, so we don't allow drinking on the ranch at any time during hunting season.

I like to drink after a crappy week at work but hardly ever during bow season. I started it a few years back. I was missing all the weekend morning hunts because I was tired/hungover because the guys played cards every Friday night . I'll have a few over the holidays and thats about it. I really dont miss it much to be honest.

Ya know, I'm not proud of my college drinking days...did a bunch ofstupid stuff. But I will admit that I've taken a few deer (including the largest doe I've ever seen) while mildly (never hammered)intoxicated.
I look back now on thosedays (less than 10 years ago) and I can't believe the stuff I did. Getting married and having a kid have really straightened me out.
