Would I get bright red blood if it was a neck or brisket shot? Thanks again guy's for not all wanting to come over and square up and kick me in the balls.

Not necessarily. You could of caught the leg on the other side as well. Lots of things can happen. Where you think you see the arrow go Isn't always the case either. You positive It was In front of the shoulder?

Bright red blood sounds like a lung shot and from what I understand, when a a deer "mule kicks" that typically means he's mortally wounded and will expire. I hope you have luck finding him, either on the hoof or piled up waiting for you to pose with him for pics to be posted here!

I have had deer "mule-kick" several times and without exception it has been a heart shot. It would definitely be worth your time to look further. Any tracking dogs in your area? Good luck.
