Last night, I'm watching the Outdoor channel on directv. Dream Season comes on....rerun, I'm on the phone but its still on. I notice an Obama ad...on a hunting network.[&:]Then a couple of hours later, another Obama ad, on another Drury show. Those of you that have shows (HB staffers)...do you sell your own airtime or is that left up to the network? I just didn't seem like a good target audience IMO.

In most cases, there are regular sponsors (particularly with these types of shows) and then "fill" ads to take up the extra commercial time. That would be the network selling those.

I'm pretty sure it is up to the network and local tv stations. When you are spending 250 million dollars on advertising you could get your ad to run during a Republican rally if you wanted to.

Not only that, if a channel lets one candidate advertise on thatchannel, it has to let other candidates advertise there too. He's probably hoping he can grunt afew hunters over to his side. Remember, when something smells like a democrat don't investigate! They'll lure you in, drop you and then take away your means to hunt.
