just be careful in the spring. They usually come out of the dens and lounge for a day or two, you dont want to go walking around with out looking carefully. We were catching snakes for the National Zoo once and a guy found a den but didnt look around, then the whole hill errupted in rattles, he was screwed, probably 400+ snakes, he had snake boots on, must have been struck 100 times, thank god for the snake boots otherwise he would have been a gooner with that many strikes.

lol, great story, sorry you had so much trouble though. And you are braver than most of us, I would have been gone after I saw the first one. Be careful and dont get bit next time out!
