If you count the early intro's on the Hoyt, they came out with 4...I think Bowtech is 5..
But really the AlphaMax is available in two sizes...32 & 35...so really maybe 3 ??

[8D] That is confusing. All the specs differ though, they just use the same template for the riser so it seems.

They almost have to be counted as separate models, they just use the same name for, well idk why really.

Here is my theory and it is just theory and may be coming completly out of left field, and I'm going to try to stay on topic without getting into a brand debate here.
It seems that the majority of people on this site are very biased towards Bowtech bows. For whatever reason that may be, I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, I am the same way with most Mathews bows. I could really careless what the other guy shot, b/c I'm sure they shoot it for a reason. I have shot plenty of brands of bows and have liked some and disliked other. Point being, if you get in a crowd full of people who support one brand/idea of something then chances being they are going to favor that.
This makes sense in my head and could be useless rambling to everyone else lol. Just my opinion...

I don't think any of them dropped the ball.I like both lineups, and I'm gonna shoot 'em all this winter before I drop $$ in the spring.
You said Bowtech doesn't make a bow over 325 IBO. Why is that? Is it because the "speed bow" crowd isn't as big as what people think? Perhaps both companies checked their sales #'s and realized they sell boatloads of the "smooth, slower" bows than they do the speed bows. Hence the offerings this year. No reason to build a speed bow that maybe 5 guys out of a 50 are going to buy.
If you ask me, PSE is onto something with the X Force bows. I haven't shot one, but I have a few buddies who have and they all told me I need to look into it. So I'm going to. I'm not a speed junky, but dangit if it feels good, and holds well with a nice balance, I'm in.
