RE: Not 2 Impressed with the 09 Hoyts
No question of quality, I believe that both Bowtech and Hoyt have good quality products that are very durable.
I think the companies that let quality slip are no more, or soon to be. Gee if I wanted to really stir the pot, should I say something about Mathews ??:D:D ORIGINAL: TEmbry I said it wrong sorry, not claiming BT doesnt have amazing quality, quality was meant as durability guys....not quality in general. Every major company these days have great quality. I was just saying Hoyt is built on toughness, that is what they are known for. Kind of like the 1500 dry fire riser test, or 1000 dry fire limb test. I personally dropped my bow from 22 feet last year (bumped it off bowhook, which I no longer use now), and no harm no foul. GMMAT, if that word hyperbole is still stumpin ya, you can use "figure of speech" in lieu of that word, if it makes you feel better. Won't sound so youthful that way either.;) |
RE: Not 2 Impressed with the 09 Hoyts
ORIGINAL: fingerz42 ORIGINAL: TEmbry STILL a hoyt, best quality bow hands down...no other company would even dare challenge that. That doesn't mean it will shoot best for everyone or it is the best fit but they have the best quality on the market and that is just a matter of record. The ONLY issue Hoyt has on a regular basis is they must be pressed properly because their risers will not handle force being applied to them in the opposite direction than they are meant to be shot.(to be honest,I feel this will be a real problem with their newest offerings) |

And you're signature shows your a hoyt fanboy... I'd say the opinion is a bit biased. Good bow, but not the best.

No one is saying Hoyts bow is a better choice, just that in general Hoyts seem to be the most durable line of bows available. If guys treat their bows right, this shouldnt even be an issue...but someone has to build a bow for eggheads like me who knock their bow out of stand from 20+ ft.:D |

I shoot through a shop that carries Mathews,Bowtech,Bear and Hoyt,I chose to shoot Hoyt through the shop.I could have chosen another brand as well and feel confident I could have gotten the same deal. Yes,I am a fan of their bows but that doesn't change facts does it? Notice,I have not said one bad thing about any of the other brands, just that Hoyt's warranty is used less than the other brands by percentage.;) |
