Thanks Dave for the boost in my ego, I am glad you don' t live around me;).
I really don' t think it was my fault ( never is ) it was raining and fletchings were soaked and the yarn silencers that were on my string were saturated in water. Each arow I shot came out of the bow funny, even the one I dropped. [:o] That happened back in the early 70' s when I had just started bowhunting,I like to think I' ve learned a little bit since then, but than again, not to sure.;)

In my first year way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy back when I had a small buck enter in at 7 yards and in all my inexperience and excitement and NERVESSSSSSSSSSSSS, he allowed me to empty my quiver of 4 arrows before hitting him with the 5th shot. I know that should be in the hall of shame but it truly was an experience for me that I will never forget.

Five, and I still didn' t stick him. I was the poster child for Buck Fever that year![8D] Had more shakes than a ten dollar exotic dancer.[:' (]

:DThree shots, I kept calling him out of the laurel and the third shot at 35 yards through the heart.

3!!!!!!!!!!!!1One time this past year I had just sat down and i have a nice buck come to about 30 yards and i missed, grunted him back in to about 15 yards, missed again, then grunted him in again a third time and missed abain at 10 yards
come ot find out i was pulling low every shot
found hair on all three shots

i have emptied a quiver full of arrows at a doe before, 5 arrows that is. she never figured out i was there. come to find out my nock was loose which caused my sights to be off kilter.

nice storys guys... i once shot at a 6 pointer and i definatly hadn' t practiced enough to have good form and ended up putting an arrow bout a foot in front of him....my other arrows were in my pack and i grabbed on that the broadhead had fallen off of so i set it aside and took another one out... well when i pulled it out the headless arrow fell to the ground and scared the 9 deer that were milling around just outta range and they all bolted..... that night while sitting in my stand i saw a mounter go by at about 150 yards... he had 4 nice sized does with him... only two turned down my trail... well they were about 30 yards away and i had praticed without sights at that range so i drew back my bow as the light was very quickly fading and aimed and i heard this loud thunk!!! they deer both just stood there and i looked at the 4 inch round tree in front of me... about 12 ft. up in the air is my arrow buried in this tree... after a couple minutes the deer relax and i draw another arrow this time aiming so i don' t hit the tree... well i' d like to tell u that i hit that deer on my second shot but i ended up shooting about a foot low...

I don' t like to call it a miss. I call it a warning shot, so it gives the deer a little more chance of living. It is more exciting this way. LOL
