Default Deer Travel Question

Lets say that everywhere a deer walked, it left a 2 foot wide trail of red paint. What percent of your land would be red after 1 month, 6 months, 1 Year, 3 years?

WHile this DOES seem "off the wall" (the question).....I was thinking just yesterday (as I sat over a deer trail)......how often do they use other means of egress (other trails....or..not use a trail, at all)?

How often and whythey stray from trails is an interesting thought.

some buck have a wide range 10 -15 miles in some parts of country
now it probobly depends but deer usually inhabit a small home range so depends on the size of land-property you talking about.
plus what all deer need food, shelter, water that come into play also of the activity you have .
so no answear is really correct .
there are way to many options here

deer are no different then any other animal for us example lets just say that you travel the same route to work every day right and then one of your co workers tells you about a short cut bam you cut down time right?.same goes for deer they are curious animals lets say a buck is used to going the same route to his bedding area goes past a new scent from another deer follows that trail and it gets him to his bedding ,feeding area ect quicker he is going to change his pattern for sure .i mean deer always wonder about each other preety easy to figer out after few years ,thats why scent drags ,calls ,and baiting where legal works takes few deer to find one spot and rest would follow.
some ranges of deer in open country im sure is more then 25+miles
