My girlfriends dadSTILL hunts with an XI, not sure of the model. He and his brother used to shoot nothing but XI, and he still has 4 or 5 of them. My uncle just passed away this past spring, and he was hunting with an XI the last few years. He hunted traditional for most of the time thatI can remember, but I think he got it dirt cheap and it shot decent. His was an XI Silver Hawk.

Legend XRG was a pretty good bow and I still have a couple. I prefer the upgrade to the Legacy and have used it to harvest my best deer. Haven't been able to find any good places to hunt since I moved North in 03 but still looking.

I used an XI Demon up 'til 3 years ago.

Around 42" ata. Dinky round wheels.Had a beat up cobra sight and a Huntmaster 2000 rest on it. No peep or anything like that. I think I was getting around 175-180 fps with it.

I still have it hanging on my wall. It was a toughol' bow and Ikilled a bunch of stuff with it. My '06 bowtech is in a whole different class tho'.

(note that classy Bowtech quiver on there. )

Demon must have been after my time there- I left in Jan. 96. I haven't kept up with the industry as to what's available now but I have a few bows that I made up while I was there that I haven't even shot. I got to take home 1 a year to test and shoot so I'm pretty set for awhile after 12 years. Don't shoot competitively so they're plenty fast enough for my needs.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure I bought it before '96. It was pretty much XI's bottom of the line bow.

I believe that the Silverhawk was the low end bow when I left- maybe the guys put it out in 96 as I left in Jan.
