how long do you sit
#13
depends for me alot...
im usually on stand about an hour prior to shooting light(roughly settled in at 0600...usually stay on stand till atleast 1000-1200..i try to stay as long as possible...
evenings i like to be settled in by 2 or 3...but lately its been about 4...dark is right around 700...just been running a bit late this season so far...
once the seeking and chasing start, i may sit all day in the same spot if im confident in it and the weather is right...if not i may leave the spot and go elsewhere...alot of times i leave and go elsewhere after i feel ive seen all the deer im going to see there....unless i didnt get a shot and wanted one i'll wait for him to come back...once the seeking and chasing start and the weather is right i take food and drinks and plan to sit longer...sometimes i will..sometimes i'll move...it can be a hassle to relocate, moving the stand and re-entering the woods and setting back up...but i gotta be confident in my setup...

It all depends on what is going on. Most of the time I am out there befoer sunrise and get down around1 or 2 and the go back around 3:30 until dark. Prime time for our property seems to be between 10 and 2 during the rut, so nobdy likes to get down.If the weather is lousy, I'm down early by 12 and will return around 3.

When I hunt in the mornings I try to stay till 10.
In the evenings I usually go out around 3 or 330 and sit till dark.
I don't ever sit all day, I don't think I could do it.
