That new bows are seemingly getting leaked out earlier and earlier.....The new '09 bows are out, and they seemed to come a little sooner than last year and the years past.
You can be hunting with an '09 bow during your '08 deer season. It just seems crazy to me!
I think they should just release EVERYTHING at the ATA show each year. That way companies aren't fighting to try to get bows out before others....It would make the ATA show even more entertaining. Especially without seeing the new bows before you get there,

No different from Cars. Its all about Sales too. Sales would drop significantly if the newer bows werent introduced during season when hunting is hot on everyones minds.
Not all companies have leaks before their dates either.
My Hoyt dealer is going to be one of the first to receive the 09 lineup, he figures within 2-3 weeks...by end of month basically. They still havent even revealed to him the NAME of the new bows....much less pics or specs. The ONLY thing he knows, is that they will no longer be DL specific cams this year. So it is still possible to keep a tight lip about the new lineup until you release it.
I think it is smart to release a new lineup DURING deer season, diehards will buy new bows regardless of release date, but the average joe schmoe is much more likely to buy the latest/greatest during deer season when he is into it big time. Mid to late October seems to be the same for the past2 or3 years now...thats about as far back as my release date knowledge goes..before then I didnt follow the new lines.

Yeah......I'm not a fan of Hoyt's DL adjustable cams. They're "OK" but not as good as the DL specific. We were told the same info...here, about the Hoyt's. We are one of the biggest Hoyt dealers in the South. Last year I believe we were 2nd in the South.
Anyway, they also said, they'd have an average size bow and the XL. It hasn't been named, and the short one would have a 7" BH.

I like the specific cams too, but it sure would save the dealers alot of hassle with the adjustable cams. There have been rumors flying around about nearly everything involving hoyts now that it is getting closer...Everything from dumping the tec riser to switching to a center pivot design similar to BT guardian...ive just about heard it all now. Also some rumors about offerin a predator camo finish and a 350+ bow as well. who knows at this point....most of these rumors i find too big to swallow. This guy is obviously dreaming, but man what a bow if he isnt. He swears up and down that their new bow is...
Codename "Thundertec"
36 in. ATA
7 1/4 in. brace
352 fps
Beyond parallel limbs XT450s
Available in RT APG HD, MO Treestand and Predator camo finishes
Dual Stealth Shoks like Bear Truth
2 piece wood plates
6 oz. lighter than Katera
Dead quiet...
I just cant see it happening, but who knows. would be awesome if he turned out correct.
