why does it happen?
[align=left]why when you shoot a deer in the shoulder blade it it never penetrates through the deer. last year i had 2 deer come in at about 40 yards (does). i passed on them and they walked about 100 more yards onto someone elses land. someone shot one and the other came back about 20 yards away from me. i grabbed my bow and drew on her. i took the shot and i hit a little far forward but the deer fell right down i hit her in the shoulder blade. and then this year my best friend shot a doe in the shoulder blade and this deer also fell right down i was using rage three blade and my friend was using hell razors i don't get it
here is a picture of the deer not to big but it was my first one with a bow.

RE: why does it happen?
If I am understanding your question right, I think when the arrow hits the shoulder the shoulder fractures, The impact is so hard that it puts them down. Thats what I would guess. I could be wrong though.
