thanks man!!

The arrow hit guts but it was at a perfect angle/height. It would have been a great shot had he not jumped/lunged when he heard my bow (or whatever made him go forward-- may have just been bad timing and he started to bolt as I released, Im not sure). He went alot further than what I had ever expected. I kept thinking to myself that since I didn't get down and start tracking, that he probably laid up and died 50-100 yards away from where I shot him. Man was I ever wrong. He went a long ways. I shot him at the orange dot, and recovered him at the pink dot. When I was looking for him, I looked up and down the west side of the bean field 4 times thinking that he may have crossed over to the other side at some point, but I never found any blood. They truly are amazing animals.

That was our thinking too. We couldn't believe he crossed it. Only thing I could think of, was that maybe that was his "domain" back there and he just "went home". I'm not sure either, or maybe something else (don't know what) bumped him on across.

Back over by where I shot him, it's rediculously thick. My legs are cut and scratched and were bleeding yesterday from the briars I was walking through trying to find him. Like you said-- amazing.
