Hold up, let me get this straight, you bait them right in front of a target and shoot them?

Yeah whats wrong with that? Arrows do cost $8.00 and up per each yah know.
It is my first year actually using a bow to hunt with. So as to not go in the woods and wound big game animals i practice on something i also like to hunt. Im sure i will shoot them in the field as well later. But thats after I buy a new dozen arrows that will increase FPS by 20.

Nothing wrong with it, I was just wondering. Just my personal prerogative that I don't feel quite right giving animals a false sense of security by providing them with bait and then killing them. To each his own, but I was just making sure I understood what you were saying.

ps...Good choice on the bow, I shoot the same one

Heh , well mate. Any time you are in the woods siting up high or what ever the case maybe. You are using calls, attractants & scent covering products. So the animal already has a sense of security from the woods .
So you see baiting is really not to much different then using other things to get in close. Just another method really. Well at least thats this new bow hunters opinion on it lol.

It's illegal to bait in VA.... so wahoo doesn't exactly have the food option...

But actually... yeah baiting is MUCH MUCH MUCH different than using "other" things to get animals in close. But its a squirrel.... legal method..... archery tackle... good on you! Good luck this fall!

Obviously you've never eaten squirrel, PT. Oh yeah, I forgot; you're from New York. Okay, it's nothing like chicken, but when it's cooked right, it'll make you want to give up venison. Well, maybe not, but it is really very good. If you cook it wrong though, you've got 15 minute squirrel jerky on your plate, and it'll have a shelf life of about 2 years.[8D]

Oh yeah... nice shooting by the way!!
