I'm warning you all right now, this is not going to be a typical sewer AT type trash talking thread. Plug your own bow, bash another and it's gone. All the bows are awesome, some fit some better than others.

They're both great bows, in fact all bows these days are great. I voted mathews JUST because i have one right now, and i love it. i'm sure if i had a bowtech i would love that bow just as much.

Bowtech because I always can find a deal at the end of the season on one. If the Mathews and the bowtech were the same price I couldn't tll you which one I would shoot for sure. It's been a few years since I shot a mathews.

My wife and I are Hoyt fans, they just feel the best to us.We have nothing against most other manufacturers. After all it comes down to who's holding it, that is the most important thing about a bow. They won't shoot perfect round or drop game hanging in a shop... I'm just amazed at how many times the wheel (i.e.cams) keeps getting re-invented each year...lol

Both companies make a great bow IMO. I voted for Bowtech b/c i own one but Mathews has some sweet bows as well.

My first bow was a Mathews Switchback. It served me well and I have NOTHING bad to say about them. Nothing.

I shot a Bowtech for the first time in 2006. I was sold on them from the first shot.....and I've come full-circle with them (having owned several models of Bowtech bows).

I'd shoot/hunt with a Mathews tomorrow.....and have 100% confidence in it. But....I like what I like. Doesn't mean one is "better".
