yeah me and Shultzy sent a few PMs back and forth on these things. He was a REALLY big help to me in getting these things shaving sharp. It takes a bit of effort but man its worth it. I was considering going with something else but not anymore. I hope to send one through a deer Saturday morning. Opening day! Thanks again Shultzy! people like you are why I love this place!

Thanks again Schultzy---what angle of sharpness do I need to put on the Snuffers? I am asking because I may be able to pick up those sharpening sticks somewhere around here and need to know the info. THANK YOU.

They're similar to the Wensel Woodsmans, which are also a good head. I'm going with a Magnus Stinger this year. Sharp out of the package.

When you sharpen these Snuffers with crock sticks you sharpen 2 edges at the same time just like I showed you In that picture. I don't know what the angle actually Is, just run both edges at the same time on the crock sticks and your good to go. There's only one angle you can do It at. If your talking about the angle the sticks are positioned In It's holder It don't matter much. Just make sure If you can to get the longer crock sticks, just like the link I showed you. The longer the sticks, the longer the strokes you can make when sharpening. Crock sticks work excellent on sharpening your knives as well. They are by far my favorite sharpening tool. Start out using the white sticks 1st. If you still have no luck try the darker one's then being they will be a little more on the coarse side and after a while switch It on up to the white sticks to finish the job up.
