HE is probably speaking from years of expearience and maybe you should listen to his advice.

If he has this rule then I would abide by it, but we have hogs as thick as ticks in S. Georgia and I have seen many die with mechs. I have also been there when they were lost with fixed and mechs. When a mech is involved it is funny how pride likes to blame the broadhead[:-]

If he is speaking from years of advice he wouldnt advise someone to change their current broadhead tip weight and throw off the stiffness of their arrow in doing so.

I have used mechanicals (Grim Reapers) on all of the hogs that I have taken, and all of them have been pass throughs. Still like someone else said, his land his rules.

You hired the outfitter for his expert advice soyou should follow it.

Hogs are tougher than deer, and the last thing you want to do is walk up on an injured hog with 4 inch tusks. They will rip you to shreds faster than you can blink.

I would go with the fixed blade head. I would not however change the weight of my current set-up.

He could care less about the stiffness of your arrows. That ain't the point. A 125 head ain't gonna kill your setup. It's his property, and he has years of time, money and effort put into those animals and he's just protecting his investment. It's how he makes a living dude. You only pay to play there.
