Tim be careful with dropping THAT many calories from such a high level........I'm not sure what your insurance situation is but trust me on this: You ned the help of a professional nutritionist to do what you are doing correctly and safely.
If you have issues with your blood pressure and sugar levels you cannot make these nutrition choices on your own.

Seek professional help immediately. With the help of someone who knows what they are doing and some honest dedication you can get it turned around NOW while you are still young. If you take this into later life the chances that you will EVER be healthy are slim at best and you are taking years.......YEARS off of your life.

Just by your statement that you are thinking of ONE small meal a day shows you do not have the foggiest idea of proper eating or nutrition. Doing that will possibly hurt your short term health and slow your metabolism even further. It will most likely cause weight GAIN in the long run when you bail out of it.

Good luck Tim, but you need help.
X2 Million......I don't think this is a "normal" diet plan, it's not about cutting or counting calories, it's about getting the right amount, of the right type of foods. And more than likely, a dietician, will have you eating 5-6 times daily, to increase your metabolism (sp).Walking, and hiking is great, but you have to do more than your body is used to doing...if you hike a mile a day to hunt....you'll want to throw in a extra 1/2-1 mile just walking on a treadmill or walking on a road, and weight lifting, muscle burns fat. It's not going to be easy, but if you want it bad enough, you can drop the weight. Good luck in reaching your goal Tim.

In all actuallity, venison is recomended by Atkins. Its very low in everything. Venison is actually very good for you. its what you cook it in and eat with it thats bad.

Low in everything except protein. Its loaded with protein. What about cholestoral? And eating too much venison can also contribute to gout.

Dude, you're looking at a MAJOR lifestyle change. Have your doctor refer you to a dietary specialist. Your life probably depends on it.

There are resources out there for you, you just need to have the initiative and discipline to take advantage of them. Losing 3 pounds is one thing. Losing 300 is a whole different animal. Seek professional help and get your life on track. Just remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, buddy. This is going to a long, arduous road. Buckle your chinstrap and get started.

Hey man when i moved back from school a couple years ago i weighed myself and realized i had gotten big!! My fiance had asked me a bunch of times to go with her to Weight Watchers, and i always had too big of an ego or whatever to do it. Then i finally realized, what the hell do i have to be worried about. I had always thought it was for women and stuff like that, but I started, and really its just a good way to make you think about weight loss, find out easier ways to enjoy eating healthy, talk with other people who are doing the same thing, and more than anything their system helps make it easier to keep track of what your are eating and what you should be eating. No one knows what you weigh in there or how much you have lost, but when you have a big milestone, 10,20,30, 50, whatever, they will ask if its all right with you if they tell the group. It feels good to have some recognition. Another thing is, they have scales that will work for you, if you are spending money to go to the doctor, it might be cheaper to spend the 39 bucks a month to go there, and you weigh in once a week.

When i started there, i was shocked to see that i weighed 371. In about six months, i dropped all the way down to 306. Now for a while i've been a dumbass and gained back about 20, but i'm in the progress of doing it again. I am getting married in june of next year and want to drop about 60 pounds or so before then. All i can say is it worked well for me. You might consider it. My doctor says for my height i need to get down to about 250 and he thinks i'll be healthy as can be, he doesn't see me needing to be below that unless i am unhappy at that point. Biggest thing is just stick with it man, i don't know of too many things more rewarding than weight being gone that you fought to lose.
