Default How do you score this freak?

His third beam almost looks like a Caribou's scoop. Definately the strangest looking deer I've ever captured pictures of.

gross is simple...measure the total inches.

Net is trickier...measure it as a typical rack...with g1s g2s g3s....make deductions for side to side differences and then add on abnormal points such as that large scoop thing.

Net nontypical doesnt make sense to me....why deduct side to side when it is established it is NONtypical to begin with?

I'd SCORE him as a SHOOTER, just for the uniqueness that he carries on his head. That's a NEAT looking deer, SCORE ain't even a consideration when a COOL animal like that is an option!!!!

Very unique deer....hard to score with the irregular extra beam. But no question...definetly a shooter and something interesting to put up on the wall.

I know I'm way ahead of myself, but am interested in how the heck this deer would be measured. Does the scoop or 3 point side goes as the main beam? I would guess the three point side since it angles out like a beam would.

I think the scoop would not count as the main beam. The other beam seems to come off of the skull plate In the right place, the scoop beam comes out much lower on the skull plate. That's one interesting rack that's for sure!! I'd shoot that guy In a heart beat!
