How do you score this freak?
His third beam almost looks like a Caribou's scoop. Definately the strangest looking deer I've ever captured pictures of.

Thats an awesome buck i guess you would just measure it as the tine and take the width idk.. im sure someone on here will know but thats a good buck..very unique good luck

RE: How do you score this freak?
i would imagine the same way any other tine on the deer but that is a cool looking deer

RE: How do you score this freak?
gross is simple...measure the total inches.
Net is trickier...measure it as a typical rack...with g1s g2s g3s....make deductions for side to side differences and then add on abnormal points such as that large scoop thing. Net nontypical doesnt make sense to me....why deduct side to side when it is established it is NONtypical to begin with? |
RE: How do you score this freak?
I'd SCORE him as a SHOOTER, just for the uniqueness that he carries on his head. That's a NEAT looking deer, SCORE ain't even a consideration when a COOL animal like that is an option!!!!

RE: How do you score this freak?
Very unique deer....hard to score with the irregular extra beam. But no question...definetly a shooter and something interesting to put up on the wall.

RE: How do you score this freak?
I know I'm way ahead of myself, but am interested in how the heck this deer would be measured. Does the scoop or 3 point side goes as the main beam? I would guess the three point side since it angles out like a beam would.

RE: How do you score this freak?
woah, i just checked out the pics again...that one is tricky for net. I have no freakin clue...ask buckeye or schultzy.
Gross is easy though, Im not into net anyway. |
