I'm full of hope
#1
Here in Wisconsin, the bow season opened this last weekend and I have only been able to get out for one whole day!
Yes, I kow that the season is young, but it's still the fact I want to be out all the time. I know this is not reality, I ahve responsablities to my family.
But all that aside, I have high hopes for thris season. The day I did get out I saw a MONSTER of a whitetail buck! I really couldn't make out his rack very well, but from what I could see, it's a defenate shooter. So I have been planning and figuring different things out, and tommarow, I'm giving it a whirl!
Wish me luck becaue I know I'll need it!

good luck. The balancing between work, family and hunting can be tricky at times, but hopefully you have a long enough season that you can find ample time to spend out hunting in addition to your other responsibilities.

It is hard to find that balance during the season. Luckily, my wife accepts and supports me in my one true obsession. I have no other hobbies really, so for 4 months a year she calls herself a "hunting widow".

I too am a lucky man. My wife supports my fishing 9 months out of the year (although I try to pace myself) and told me to go get what I needed to start hunting again.I might not be up to snuff to sit in a stand this year, so any day that you can be out there is one more that I won't be.
Best of luck to yathis year!

haha! I can be full of it at times, butI work four days on, four days off (12 hour work days)... it gives me quite a bit of time while the kids are in school and the wife is at work. This is probably one of the contributing factors in her support.
